Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult inpatients
Setting: Inpatient hospital (Rome Memorial Hospital)
Responsibilities: Provide inpatient care, admit and manage patients, conduct daily rounds (avg. patients/physician), manage rapid responses/codes, collaborate with intensivists in open ICU, coordinate care with specialists, document using Paragon EMR, participate in hospitalist team managing patients/day
Required Procedures: Inpatient evaluations, rapid response/code management, ICU collaboration
EMR System: Paragon
Support Staff: Hospitalist team, attending physicians, intensivists, specialists, nurses
Days Per Month:
Full time
On-Call/Weekends: No on-call; weekends included in 7 on/7 off schedule
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible (within 1 year of eligibility) or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (must be Board Certified within 2 years of contract start)
- NY license (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean malpractice and license history
- NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)
- DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
- Must be open to full-time 7 on/7 off schedule and comfortable working in open ICU with intensivist support
- Visa status noted
