Axedale Golf Club, located on the banks of the Campaspe River, just 20 minutes from Bendigo, is seeking to employ an experienced greenkeeper to join our small but progressive course team.

Joining us in a full time role, you will need to be a team player of quality character and strong work ethic. You will require turf management qualifications, with experience in all aspects of turf management, including machinery operation; highly detailed course preparation; irrigation troubleshooting and repairs; weed, pest and disease identification & treatment; basic agronomy and turf nutrition; and basic mechanical skills. Most of all, you will have developed and demonstrated a passion for turf, with a meticulous eye for producing high-quality sports turf surfaces.

Significant course improvements in recent years contributed to our club receiving the 2025 PGA Victorian Regional Pro-Am of the Year award. One visiting pro recently described our greens and surrounds as ‘world class’.



Another has described the slopes and speed of our greens as ‘the Augusta of central Victoria’. You will play a critical role as we strive to continue course improvements and achieve high standards.

Although our course staff team is small, our club has a large, strong and committed volunteer culture amongst our members. Being an Axedale Golf Club employee requires you to be polite, respectful and helpful to our members. In return, you can expect to receive a great deal of appreciation and acknowledgement from members for the work you do.

Our club has invested significant funds in machinery and equipment in recent years, providing course staff with extensive, quality resources. Investments also extend to the irrigation system, which has also received recent component upgrades. A major irrigation control system upgrade is planned for May 2027, further enhancing the possibilities at Axedale.
