Capital Doorworks is an Australian-owned family business and Canberra’s largest provider of commercial and residential garage doors. A well established and trusted provider, we are seeking an experienced Storeperson to coordinate all aspects of warehouse operations at our Hume facility. This role is integral to the efficient operation of our business and we are enthusiastic about supporting our people to reach their goals.

About the Position
The purpose of this role is to ensure that goods are received, receipted and managed within the warehouse and to ensure that documentation, labelling, storing and presentation are completed daily. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Storeperson will be responsible for warehouse equipment and ensuring that cleanliness and tidiness remain at a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and checking of materials into the warehouse.

Inventory recording in the appropriate system/s.

Warehouse management of all materials within the warehouse facility to enable prompt and safe access when required.

Stock control and inventory management.





Assist with the preparation of deliveries and check for completeness and accuracy.

Access control, housekeeping and safety adherence pertaining to warehouse ingress/egress.

Ensuring the warehouse layout is optimised to support an accessible process flow of materials to create safety and capacity within the operating environment.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules, health and safety legislation and environmental standards to ensure compliance with WH&S; obligations.

Issue and monitoring of PPE.

Qualifications

Drivers License - Must be able to drive a manual.

Strong knowledge of correct manual handling techniques.

Strong computer literacy - understanding of inventory control software and systems an advantage (training will be provided).

Experience in a warehouse/manufacturing or fabrications setting an advantage.

Able to work autonomously and unsupervised, with a focus on the task-at-hand.
