The Role: Your Day-to-Day Impact (Consider this your paid gym membership!)
- The Daily Dash: Swiftly collecting kerbside waste, including general waste, recycling, and green waste.
- Truck Runner:
Keeping pace with the truck and efficiently loading bins into the rear compactors like a pro.
- Safety Boss: Operating bin lifters and compactors while keeping a laser focus on safety and following all protocols.
- Community Face: Communicating respectfully with the public and being flexible to adapt to daily route changes.
- Team Support: Providing rock-solid support to your driver every single day.
Essential Requirements for Success
- Fitness Fanatic: You must be prepared to run/walk 15-20 km per day and be capable of lifting and maneuvering bins up to 30 kg .
- Reliable Early Bird: Own, reliable transportation is a MUST for those crucial early morning starts at the Eastern Creek, Greenacre & Mascot depots.
- Great Attitude: A strong, positive attitude with a genuine commitment to safety and teamwork is paramount.
- Clean Slate: You must be able to pass a mandatory drug & alcohol test and a police check.
- Experience is a Bonus: Prior experience in waste collection or other heavy, physically demanding outdoor work is a big advantage, but we happily train motivated newbies!
