Be the Heart of Healthcare in Armidale! Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse ready to take on a flexible, high-impact role in rural healthcare? We have an exciting opportunity in Armidale, NSW , offering free accommodation , reimbursed travel , and casual rates .
As a Practice Nurse, you will work closely with the local team to provide essential healthcare services to the community.
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation.
- Administering immunisations.
- Performing venepuncture and cannulation with confidence.
- Providing health education and promotion to individuals and the community.
- Supporting chronic disease management and preventative health initiatives.
- Collaborating with GPs and other health professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
- Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the practice.
What We're Looking For
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Proven experience as a Registered Nurse across diverse clinical settings.
- Proficiency in venepuncture and cannulation.
- Current and valid CPR Certificate.
- Nurse Immuniser certification.
- Highly Desired (but not essential): Experience in rural or remote healthcare.
- Previous experience in general practice or community health.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
