APG Workforce are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant with painting experience to join a busy maintenance team based in the Innisfail region. This is a hands‑on role supporting painting and building maintenance activities across a variety of sites.

Pay Rate: $38 – $43 per hour + Super

About the Role:
You will assist with a range of painting and maintenance duties, including surface preparation, painting, and general upkeep of buildings and facilities. The role will involve both indoor and outdoor work and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, and patching
- Support painting and finishing tasks across various surfaces
- Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and small plant
- Assist with general building maintenance duties
- Follow protected work practices and site procedures at all times




- Work both independently and as part of a team
- Support tradespeople and supervisors as required

About You:

- Previous experience in painting, construction, or general labouring
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Driver’s licence preferred

Desirable:

- Experience in painting and decorating
- Working at Heights or Asbestos Awareness (advantageous)
