We are Scalabrini Communities. As a not-for-profit (or for-purpose), Catholic aged care organisation, Scalabrini puts resident needs first. We are not driven by profit maximisation and we are not guided by cost-cutting or revenue. Instead, we continuously invest back into our villages, to maintain our position as the aged care choice for migrant communities across Recent South Wales.
With a tradition of community, mutual help, faith and family, Scalabrini offers the provision of excellent care to the aged population and people living with dementia, delivered with a profound sense of respect for all cultures. We have eight aged care villages across NSW and SA, including five within the Sydney Metro area one in Griffith in regional NSW and two in South Australia as well as our Home Care program, Live Easy

We are looking for passionate, caring, and dedicated Carers with a Certificate III in Aged Care to join our team on a Casual basis at our Chipping Norton village!
Working as a valued member of our care team, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care, including:
- Empowering our residents to ensure their choices, preferences, and individual needs are respected and met.
- Assisting residents with their daily care and personal support needs.
- Assisting residents with meals, including serving food and providing support with feeding when required.
- Encouraging and supporting residents to participate in activities.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with residents and their families.
- Providing compassionate, respectful, and responsive care that promotes dignity, choice, and independence.
- Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
The successful applicants will display:
- A caring and patient outlook, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on our residents' everyday lives.
- A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated experience working in an aged care or community health setting.
- An understanding of issues relating to dementia care.
- Previous working knowledge of the aged care industry and person-centred care.
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.
- Confidence working in a flexible team environment.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong commitment to providing quality care while respecting the dignity, choices, and individuality of every resident.
