Picker Packer & Forklift Operator | Premium Food Services | Prestons

Varied shifts between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday

Casual Start with possibility to go permanent - Hourly Rate ($33.38 per hour)

Viking Imports is a family owned specialty food importer and distributor. We supply premium products to Australia’s leading independent retailers, major supermarket chains and specialty delicatessen shops.We are also a boutique 3PL cold storage warehouse based in Prestons, servicing clients of all sizes.

We are now looking for a reliable warehouse all rounder that is motivated to learn and want to enjoy their workplace. We have a dedicated team that really enjoys working here and are looking to add new members to our NSW team.

Picker/Packer & Forklift Driver - The Role

Day to day, you will be picking and packing orders within our warehouse, loading and unloading trucks and containers, putting away stock and replenishing stock for the rest of the team.You will be working within freezer, chiller and ambient environments.

Overall your responsibilities will include:

- Picking & Packing accurately
- Using a forklift to move goods
- Unloading pallet containers and trucks using an electric pallet jack
- Working within a team
- Goods In Dock Receiving and on grade access




- Goods Out using Dock and on grade access
- Container unloading (palletised), forklift operation - loading / unloading trucks
- Attention to detail with paperwork, checking off quantities, dates and lot codes
- Stock Putaway and Stock replenishment

Additionally, you will need to be at the warehouse at 8am with your shift generally finishing up around 4pm, Monday to Friday. There’s occasional Saturday hours too.

What you bring to the table

The successful candidates will have:

- Experience as a Picker/Packer (ideally in food / cold storage environment)
- Forklift License and experience (ideally in food / cold storage environment)
- Good written, verbal and numeric skills
- A team player approach
- Experience working in a freezer environment (preferred, but not essential)
- Reliable transport
- Robust attention to detail
- A naturally organised approach

In this role, you will enjoy consistent hours in our brand new warehouse, onsite parking, a permanent role and a paid 30-45 minute break each day. We also provide a lovely team to work with and supportive management.
