Midsupport is seeking passionate, experiencedDisability Support Workers to support NDIS participants with complex and individual support needs across multiple group homes in the Maitland area.
We provide24-hour support, with a variety of shifts available, including morning, afternoon, active night, sleepover and weekend shifts.
We are committed to working with your availability and can accommodate flexible hours for applicants who are able to commit to4 days per week or more.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support participants to live fulfilling and meaningful lives while working towards their individual goals.
You will assist participants both within their homes and in the community, including supporting them to participate in social activities, community programs and other activities aligned with their interests and goals.
Our participants may havecomplex support and behaviour needs, so experience working with challenging behaviours and/or physical support needs is highly desirable.
Your duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Domestic and household assistance
- Personal care
- Behaviour support and management
- Manual handling and daily living support
- Supporting participants to access the community and social programs
- Assisting participants to achieve their individual goals
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and other required documentation
About You
We are looking for reliable, compassionate and experienced Support Workers who genuinely want to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disability.
You will enjoy working as part of a skilled, competent, passionate and creative team that is committed to providing high-quality support to participants and their families.
What We Are Looking For
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience supporting people with disability
- Experience assisting with activities of daily living, including personal care, manual handling and medication
- Experience supporting people with challenging behaviours
- A robust ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the lives of participants
- Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude
- CurrentNSW driver's licence
- A comprehensively insured vehicle, available to transport participants when required
- Working With Children Check
