About The Team

We deliver prime systems integration projects which build, develop and support military solutions for Defence. The team focuses on leveraging our local engineering, our services expertise, and global products to bring current capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.

The Opportunity

This role is an opportunity to contribute to our Land and Sea Systems line of business by delivering outcomes that matter. You will work with the Technical Lead to understand priorities, solve problems and support delivery of SEA1770.

In This Role, You Will

- Develop, maintain and support mission system software baselines, including software imaging, application testing, interface testing, and security patching.
- Ensure effective integration and performance across mission system elements supporting Royal Australian Navy capabilities.
- Investigate and resolve complex system defects using a whole-of-system engineering approach.
- Contribute to Security Accreditation activities within the Defence ICT Cyber Security Accreditation Framework.
- Design, implement and document technical solutions, system configurations and engineering processes.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams and end users while supporting capability enhancements and mentoring junior engineers.

About You





We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.

Essential For This Role

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Telecommunications/Networks, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience supporting ICT infrastructure and platforms, including Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and cyber security controls.
- Working knowledge of Defence ICT cyber security accreditation frameworks and security governance requirements.
- Experience deploying, integrating, and managing software applications across complex hardware and mission systems.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support principles to support capability sustainment and enhancement.
- Experience producing engineering documentation, managing technical change, and identifying and mitigating cyber security risks.

Advantageous, But Not Essential

- Experience within a Defence, Government, or critical systems environment.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain Baseline security clearance.
