Northern School Early Years Cluster – Glenroy VIC
We are seeking to employ experienced and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to deliver 3 and 4 Year Old Kindergarten programs to our sessional kindergartens in Glenroy Area.
About Northern Schools Early Years
The Northern Schools Early Years (NSEY) is an Early Years Management group that supports 19 Early Childhood services,17 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been announced as winnersin the 2023 Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years AwardsforContinuity of Learning for our Kindergarten to grade 6 modelandImproving Access and Participation in Early Learning.

We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.
The Opportunity
We are seeking to employ an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who will implement a high-quality kindergarten program at our sessional kindergartens in Glenroy area. This is an opportunity to be part of an integrated Kindergarten to Grade 6 Model working in partnerships with our Primary Schools and a passionate team that is committed to supporting the best outcomes for the children and families in our diverse communities.
It is a (one year fixed term) maternity leave position starting in September 2026, spread over 3 days a week totalling 22.5 hours per week with nominated supervisor responsibilities.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Extensive knowledge of child development and capabilities in planning, implementing and evaluating a quality early childhood education program.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to,
current reforms and trends in early childhood education and care.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
- A commitment to inclusion and equity and cultural competency.

About you:
You will have considerable experience in pedagogy, a strong understanding of the practice principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards. Our teams work alongside allied health professionals, including speech pathologists, psychologists, schools and community to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.We are seeking applicants who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of children, have a passion and commitment to child safety, cultural competency and pedagogy, want to work in partnership with the schools, community and with a supportive Early Years Management team.
