Teacher Librarian (0.8FTE) - Glendenning Public School
Glendenning Public School has a vibrant, inclusive and culturally rich school community located on Dharug Country in Sydney's western suburbs. There is a student population of 430 students. 61% of our students have English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D). There are 30 languages represented within our school community, with Punjabi (91) the most prevalent, followed by Gujarati (28) and Hindi (25). 24 students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Glendenning Public School has 17 mainstream classes and 2 inclusive education Multi Categorical classes. There is a strong culture of collaboration underpinned by high expectations, explicit teaching and restorative practices, creating the enabling conditions for learning across the school. A small P&C; supports the school through fundraising and other activities.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach primary library, or currently undertaking or enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with teaching staff on curriculum planning, implementation, assessment, and the organisation of whole school events.
- Proven capacity to organise and manage the resources of a primary school library, supporting teaching and learning while fostering a love of literature among students.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to implement proactive management practices that uphold high standards of behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment within the library.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part-time position for 4 days 0.8FTE.
