About the role
We are a fast-paced Day Oncology Medical Unit (DOMU) made up of 20 chairs 2 beds where we treat and manage a wide range of infusions for a range conditions and diseases for specialties such as Oncology,Haematology, Rheumatology,Gastrointerlogy, Neurology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Renal and Respiratory. The Nurses role in the Day Oncology Medical Unit is to providespecialisededucation,supportand administration of prescribed treatments to our patient cohort while working in a multidisciplinary team and using all resources to achieveoptimaloutcomes for our patients and families.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current Competency and certificate in the anticancer administration course (ADAC) or equivalent
- Current nursing registration with AHPRA
- Previous Oncology Haematology experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisationalskills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of thisroleand an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
