Portfolio Operations Associate - Real Assets

Role and Company Overview
Our client is a leading global infrastructure investment manager with an established portfolio. They’re looking to appoint an Associate to join their Sydney team in a permanent position. As a core member of the Operations and Portfolio Monitoring team, you’ll support the management and administration of infrastructure funds and mandates. This includes maintaining asset, fund, pricing and performance models, contributing to investor reporting and responding to quantitative and qualitative client requests.

This is an excellent opportunity for a numerically strong graduate or early-career professional with between one to three years’ experience. They’re looking for someone with a can‑do attitude, strong initiative and the flexibility to contribute wherever the team needs support.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain asset, fund, pricing and performance models, databases and reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of quantitative and qualitative information

Assist with portfolio monitoring by analysing cash flows, asset values, operational performance, risks and risk‑adjusted returns

Support asset valuations, financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis across infrastructure investments

Prepare quarterly investor reports, board reports, presentations and other quantitative and qualitative portfolio updates

Respond to investor requests and assist with RFPs, due‑diligence processes, fund documentation and ongoing client requirements

Support fund controls,



financial‑statement audits, governance, risk management and improvements to systems and operational processes

Skills and Experience

A relevant degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering or another numerically focused discipline

A graduate or junior professional with less than three years’ experience in asset management, investment operations, investment performance, valuations, financial analysis or a related field

Solid numerical, analytical and financial‑modelling skills, with advanced Excel capability and excellent attention to detail

Exposure to cash‑flow analysis, asset valuations, operational performance, risk‑adjusted returns or scenario modelling is highly regarded

An interest in real assets and infrastructure investing, with the ability to interpret operational data, financial models and commercial contracts

A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with strong communication skills, personal integrity and a genuine can‑do attitude
