We are seeking an organised and proactive Workforce & Culture Advisor to join a collaborative HR team in Canberra. This is a diverse role suited to someone who enjoys coordinating programs, managing competing priorities and providing high-quality support across learning, workforce and culture initiatives.
Working closely with managers and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help ensure workforce programs, systems and processes run smoothly while contributing to a positive employee experience.
Your new role
In this varied position, you will:
- Coordinate learning and development activities, training requests and workforce programmes
- Support studies assistance, scholarship and fellowship initiatives
- Maintain HR systems and learning platforms, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
- Monitor and manage workforce inboxes, responding to queries and actioning requests
- Provide secretariat support to committees, including meeting preparation, minutes and follow-up actions
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including recent starter inductions and workplace tours
- Prepare reports, briefing materials and organisational workforce documentation
- Contribute to internal communications, SharePoint updates and employee engagement initiatives
- Conduct policy and legislative research to provide practical advice to managers and employees
- Support workforce projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Experience providing administrative or coordination support within HR, workforce, learning and development or a similar corporate function
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience preparing reports, meeting papers or committee documentation
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Confidence engaging with a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong systems' capabilities, including Microsoft Office and corporate systems
- An interest in workforce, people and culture initiatives
