Factory Accountant / Business Manager

We are looking for an experienced, practical and dependable Factory Accountant / Business Manager to work directly with the owner and assist with the day-to-day running of the business.

This is not a corporate office position. We are a hands-on manufacturing business and value common sense, reliability, sound judgement and a willingness to get involved.

The Role

The role will primarily involve:

- Accounts and financial administration
- Payroll, creditors and debtors
- General office and business administration
- Recruitment and assisting with staffing matters
- Liaising with our external accountant, suppliers and service providers
- Helping maintain and improve business systems and procedures
- Assisting with the practical day-to-day issues involved in keeping the factory and office running smoothly

This is a varied position. While much of the work will be office based,



we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a factory environment and willing to roll up their sleeves and help wherever reasonably required.

About You

You will ideally have experience in manufacturing accounting, business administration, financial control or a similar hands-on commercial role.

Accounting qualifications would be well regarded, although practical experience, reliability and sound judgement are equally important to us.

You should be organised, approachable and comfortable dealing with everyone from factory employees and suppliers through to customers and professional advisers.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who enjoys being involved and takes satisfaction from helping a business run well .
