Cinque Terre is looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen at Chadstone.

We are seeking a chef with ambition, creativity and a genuine passion for Italian cuisine — someone who understands that excellent food is only one part of a great restaurant, and who takes pride in building a kitchen culture centred around quality, consistency and excellence.

This is not simply a service role. You will have the opportunity to lead the culinary direction of the venue, develop your team and play a key role in shaping the future of Cinque Terre.

THE ROLE

As Head Chef, you will take ownership of the kitchen operation, working closely with the venue management team to deliver an exceptional guest experience every service.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the kitchen brigade
- Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Driving the culinary direction and evolution of the menu
- Working with premium produce and maintaining robust supplier relationships
- Managing food costs, GP, ordering, stock control and wastage
- Creating efficient kitchen systems and maintaining high operational standards
- Ensuring exceptional preparation and execution throughout service
- Maintaining rigorous food safety and hygiene standardsli>
- Building a professional, accountable and positive kitchen culture




- Training and developing emerging chefs within the team
- Working collaboratively with senior management to achieve venue goals

THE CHEF WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will be an established chef who has the experience and confidence to lead a busy, high-volume kitchen.

You will bring:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef
- A solid understanding and appreciation of Italian cuisine
- Exceptional technical and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for produce, flavour and presentation
- Strong commercial understanding of food costs and kitchen performance
- The ability to inspire, develop and hold a team accountable
- A calm, composed and solutions-focused approach
- High standards — and the ability to consistently uphold them
- Creativity balanced with commercial awareness
- A genuine desire to build something rather than simply manage a roster
