The School has an exemplary English program and is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and highly experienced teacher to join our team of committed and professional staff.

This is a full-time, permanent role, starting Term 4, 2026

Who will the successful applicant be?

Recent experience and ability in teaching HSC English

An in-depth understanding of the NESA English curriculum

Enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to inspire secondary age students

Knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of senior secondary pedagogy and specifically how this applies to their subject area

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a part of a dynamic English Team

Confidence in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom

An understanding of and commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values and ethos

Previous experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) is highly desirable.

In support of SACS’ commitment to embedding child safety (Standard 1), we ensure that our staff are suitable for working with children and young people and that they are supported (Standard 5). Staff are required to maintain a child safe culture, act in every child’s best interest and to keep them safe from harm, in accordance with the School’s policies and procedures (Standard 10) which reflect theChild Safe Standards.
