AHJ is a specialist manufacturer of high-end solid timber windows, doors and architectural joinery.

We’re looking for a hard-working, experienced individual to join our growing team and take a key role in our workshop.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example and wants to build a long-term career with an established and growing business.

LEADING HAND

Architectural Hardwood Joinery | Wollongong, NSW | Full time

We’re looking for a hard-working, experienced individual to join our growing team and take a key role in our workshop.

This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example and wants to build a long-term career with an established and growing business.

THE ROLE

You’ll work closely with management to keep the workshop productive, organised and on schedule, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

- Lead and support tradesmen and apprentices
- Coordinate daily workshop production
- Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Manufacture high‑end timber windows, doors and joinery
- Work with recycled Australian hardwoods
- Set up and operate woodworking machinery and CNC equipment
- Maintain quality, safety and workshop standards
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve workflow




- Help develop team capability and workshop systems

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and ready to step up.

- Trade qualified in joinery, cabinet making, carpentry or similar
- 5+ years’ industry experience (preferred, but not essential)
- Strong solid timber and architectural joinery experience
- Good understanding of drawings and technical details
- Strong machinery and workshop skills
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Practical, positive and solutions-focused
- Current driver’s and forklift licences

CNC, CAD/CAM or CNC programming experience is highly regarded.
