Finesse Projects NSW is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team on a full-time basis in Sydney, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company in the trades and services sector, contributing to high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. As a Painter, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional finishes and maintaining our reputation for excellence and attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing

- Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming as required
- Applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Ensuring consistent colour matching and high-quality finishes across all projects
- Inspecting surfaces and finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and client expectations
- Mixing paints and materials to achieve the correct colour and consistency
- Operating and maintaining painting equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Following health and safety protocols and adhering to relevant building codes and regulations
- Liaising with supervisors, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site throughout each project
- Completing work within agreed timeframes and budgets

What we’re looking for

- Trade qualification or certification in painting and decorating
- Proven experience as a Painter in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Proficiency with a range of painting techniques and equipment, including brushwork, roller application, and spray painting




- Knowledge of surface preparation methods and materials suitable for various surfaces
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and colour samples
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to job sites
- Current First Aid certification (preferred)
- Experience with commercial or large-scale projects (preferred)
- Knowledge of heritage painting techniques or specialist finishes (preferred)
