Mudgee-Gulgong District Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Acute Mental Health - Child & Adolescent unit in Mudgee, NSW. This is an 11-week contract role running from 17 August to 30 October 2026, offering an excellent chance to work in a specialised mental health setting with young people. The position is remunerated at AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, providing flexibility and meaningful clinical work in a regional healthcare environment.

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated expertise in mental health nursing,



with a solid understanding of acute mental health presentations
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting
- Strong assessment and observation skills, particularly in recognising changes in mental state and risk
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in mental health nursing
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
