A warm, creative, and easy-going family based in Marrickville is seeking an experienced, proactive, and nurturing nanny to support their two young children across weekday afternoon/evening routines.
Both parents work demanding full-time careers and are looking for a reliable, long-term nanny who can become a trusted and settled part of their daily family life. The family values initiative, warmth, flexibility, and a calm home environment where children feel comfortable and engaged.
The role involves helping the children get ready in the mornings, preparing breakfast, and managing school and daycare drop-offs. Afternoons and evenings include school and daycare pick-ups, preparing snacks and dinner, supporting bath time, and getting the children ready for bed. The family is also open to occasional weekend shifts for candidates seeking additional hours. Occasional trips include a Thursday afternoon swimming lesson, staying at the lesson and bringing her home. Dog walking is available but completely optional.
Their two children are bright and lively. The family enjoys food, gardening, music, art, and creative play, and they are looking for a nanny who shares a similar spirit and will connect naturally with the children. They value a nanny who takes initiative without needing constant direction, someone who will spontaneously engage the children in play, take them to the park, or get creative in the kitchen.
The ideal nanny will be reliable, bubbly, creative, easy-going, and adaptable.
You will be confident caring for a toddler and a school-aged child, able to maintain gentle routines, and bring positive energy to the household. The family uses positive reinforcement and calm, clear communication, and they are looking for someone who aligns with that approach.
This is a respectful, supportive, long-term role for someone who will genuinely become part of the family.
