We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to join our team @ We love With Care.

This role is suited to someone who has strong experience working within the disability sector and is confident providing hands-on, person-centered support. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible with their availability, comfortable working overnight shifts, and experienced with manual handling and hoist transfers.

Experienced NDIS Support Worker

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to join our team @ We love With Care.

This role is suited to someone who has strong experience working within the disability sector and is confident providing hands-on, person-centered support. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible with their availability, comfortable working overnight shifts, and experienced with manual handling and hoist transfers.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide individualized assistance to an NDIS participant while promoting their safety, dignity, independence and quality of life.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Providing high-quality, person-centered disability support

- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities

- Supporting mobility and transfers

- Completing manual handling tasks safely (Not all participants Require this)

- Using a hoist and other mobility or transfer equipment

- Supporting loads of up to approximately 30 kg where required, in accordance with safe manual-handling procedures (Not all participants Require this)

- Assisting with routines throughout the day and night

- Monitoring the participant’s wellbeing and responding appropriately to their support needs





- Following individual support plans, care plans and workplace procedures

- Maintaining clear and accurate shift notes and documentation

- Communicating effectively with the participant, family members and the wider support team

- Supporting the participant to maintain independence, choice and control

- Completing household and general support duties where required

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Previous NDIS or disability support experience

- Experience providing direct, hands-on support to participants

- Experience with manual handling (Not all participants Require this)

- Confidence and experience using a hoist (Not all participants Require this)

- Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role

- Availability and willingness to work overnight shifts (Not all participants Require this)

- Flexible availability across a range of shifts

- A reliable and professional approach to work

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A respectful, patient and compassionate approach

- Ability to follow support plans, instructions and safe work procedures

- A genuine commitment to providing consistent and high-quality support

Availability

Applicants must be flexible with their availability .





The position may include:

- Day shifts

- Afternoon or evening shifts

- Weekend shifts

- Additional shifts when required

Reliability is extremely important, as consistency of support is essential for the participant.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on support role. Applicants must be comfortable and competent with the physical requirements of disability support work, including:

- Manual handling (Not all participants Require this)

- Participant transfers

- Use of a hoist (Not all participants Require this)

- Mobility assistance

- Physical support of up to approximately 25-30 kg , where required and where protected to do so (Not all participants Require this)

- Following all relevant manual-handling and workplace health and safety procedures (Not all participants Require this)

About You

The right person will be someone who is calm, reliable, respectful and attentive to the participant’s individual needs.

You will understand that quality disability support is about much more than completing tasks. It is about building trust, maintaining dignity, respecting choice and providing consistent support that helps the participant feel safe and comfortable.

We are particularly interested in applicants who take initiative, communicate well and can remain professional and focused during overnight and more demanding shifts.
