Our Service Locators are Telstra-accredited and are equipped with the latest cable location equipment, including 2D GPR, EMF locating wands and pipe cameras for drain inspections. About the role
Service location is a highly independent role which, requires attention to detail and a high level of responsibility and safety awareness, in a live construction environment.
As a Service Location Technician at Hydroexcavac, you will be tasked with everything from client liaison, Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) searches, Underground Service Locating (Ground Penetrating Radar), Mapping, and Record Research and report writing.
This role will be based in Brisbane for the duration of existing contracts. Our contracts cover the Brisbane regions with work in Rockhampton and Mackay, so you may be required to work away from home when necessary. Accommodation and meals will be provided when you are required to work away from home. You will be required to be efficient and have a willingness to try new tasks.
Skills and experience
- Must be DBYD certified and Telstra Accredited;
- You must be observant and have valuable attention to detail;
- You must be fit and able to work on a hot day;
- A "White Card" or Construction Safety Induction is mandatory;
- A Current MR HR Driver's license with a good record
