Highly Skilled Senior Dog Groomer (Must be experienced)

Heads & Tails Pet Spa is looking for an exceptional and highly experienced Dog Groomer to join our growing team.

We are seeking someone who produces outstanding-quality work while grooming efficiently and confidently. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled, self-motivated, calm under pressure and capable of completing a strong number of dogs each day without compromising safety, care or quality.

This position would suit an experienced groomer who takes pride in their work, works quickly and independently, maintains a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a busy and professional salon.

Key responsibilities

- Complete full grooms independently from start to finish
- Deliver high-quality clipping, scissoring, styling and finishing
- Groom dogs efficiently while maintaining excellent standards
- Work confidently with different breeds, coat types, sizes and temperaments
- Complete breed-specific and customer-requested styles
- Perform bathing, drying, brushing, deshedding, nail trimming, ear cleaning and hygiene trims
- Assess each dog’s coat, skin, behaviour and general wellbeing
- Handle every dog safely, patiently and compassionately
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work area
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Follow salon procedures and contribute positively to the workplace

About you

We are looking for someone who:





- Has extensive professional dog-grooming experience
- Is highly skilled in clipping, scissoring and finishing
- Can produce consistently excellent-quality grooms
- Works quickly and efficiently without cutting corners
- Can confidently manage a busy daily grooming schedule
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised
- Works independently and does not require constant supervision
- Maintains a positive attitude and does not become easily overwhelmed
- Is willing to assist the team when required
- Accepts feedback professionally and follows salon procedures
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and customer service

Experience with Asian-fusion styling, breed-standard grooming, hand scissoring and handling anxious or difficult dogs will be highly regarded.
