About the Role
Drive an MR maintenance truck and work alongside the crew completing hands-on road repairs and general maintenance. This is not a driving-only role. You’ll be getting out of the truck and working with the team.
- Rate : $48.94 per hour plus superannuation
- Location : Mittagong NSW
- Start : ASAP - 6 November 2026 with chance to extend for the right candidate
- Roster : 9-day fortnight -8.5 hours per day/76 per fortnight
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the MR maintenance truck between worksites
- Transport crew, tools and materials
- Repair potholes and road pavement
- Assist with guardrails, signs and guide posts
- Complete roadside and rubbish clean-ups
- Use hand tools, power tools and machinery
- Assist with traffic control activities
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Complete vehicle and equipment pre-start checks
- Attend call-outs when required
- Follow WHS and site safety procedures
- Support the crew with general road maintenance
About You
- Current MR licence or higher
- Current White Card
- Traffic Control tickets (TCR IMP) or willingness to obtain at own expense
- Worker's on Foot (WOF)
or willingness to obtain at own cost prior to commencing
- Truck driving experience
- Road maintenance or civil experience preferred
- Comfortable doing physical outdoor work in a variety of conditions
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Reliable and able to work in a crew
- Comfortable working around live traffic
- Available for call-outs when required
- Valid Australian working rights required - no visa sponsorship available
