Position 1 – Full-Time Chef

The Wheatsheaf Hotel is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef to lead and support our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and cook high quality meals in accordance with menu specifications.

Develop and update menus, including seasonal specials and new menu items.

Estimate food and labour costs and assist with kitchen budgeting.

Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff.

Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control.





Manage stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.

Minimum two years' relevant full time commercial kitchen experience.

Demonstrated experience in menu planning, food preparation and kitchen supervision.

Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and commercial kitchen operations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Salary: From $79,423 per annum plus superannuation, dependent on skills and experience.
