The Role:

As an Assistant Educator at Pitt St Kindy, you will be an essential part of our small, caring team. Working 3 or 4 days per week, you will support the delivery of our daily program, build meaningful relationships with the children in your care, and help create the nurturing, joyful environment that families trust us to provide.

Key Responsibilities





- Support the delivery of a play-based daily program aligned to the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- Build warm, consistent, and nurturing relationships with children and their families
- Assist with observations and learning documentation under the guidance of the room Teacher or Diploma Educator
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming learning environment at all times
- Support children's routines including meals, rest, hygiene, and transitions throughout the day
- Communicate positively and professionally with families at drop-off, pick-up, and throughout the day
- Contribute to a collaborative, respectful team culture in our small centre environment
- Uphold all regulatory requirements under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

What We Are Looking For

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or currently enrolled and working towards completion
- Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) — valid and in date
- First Aid certificate (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis management)
- A genuine love of working with young children and a patient, nurturing approach
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Previous experience working in a childcare or early learning setting
- Familiarity with the EYLF and National Quality Framework
- Experience in or enthusiasm for a small, community-style centre workplace
- Confidence engaging families warmly and professionally
