The Opportunity
An exciting role for a technically strong and commercially minded accountant to join a market leading infrastructure business experiencing substantial growth.
Working within a highly regarded finance function, you will take ownership of the financial management of several major development projects from inception through to completion. Partnering closely with project, procurement and development stakeholders, you will provide commercial insight, financial governance and strategic support across a substantial capital investment program.
The Challenge
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Take end-to-end financial ownership of multiple large-scale development projects
- Prepare and analyse project budgets, capex forecasts, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting
- Partner closely with project and development teams to provide commercial and financial support throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend project governance meetings and provide financial insights on project performance, risks and opportunities
- Identify cost movements, project variations and commercial issues impacting project outcomes
- Review contractor commitments, supplier claims and project expenditure to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare project reporting and commentary for senior leadership and board stakeholders
- Support annual budgeting, reforecasting and long-term capital planning activities
- Assist in managing project contingencies and identifying potential financial risks
- Drive process improvement initiatives across project reporting and financial controls
The Expertise
