Salt Search has partnered with a leading global fintech payments organisation to recruit for a Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst (Post Transactions). This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of financial transactions across a complex payments ecosystem.
As a Reconciliation & Reporting Analyst, you'll reconcile transaction, settlement, and banking data across multiple sources, investigate discrepancies, support month-end reporting, and help build automated solutions that improve financial controls and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across payment networks, processors, banking partners, and internal systems.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and exceptions.
- Develop and maintain SQL-based reporting and reconciliation processes.
- Support month-end close with reporting, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
- Monitor settlement and funding activities,
identifying risks and anomalies.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Treasury, Accounting, and Compliance teams to improve processes and controls.
- Contribute to KPI reporting, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement.
About You
- 5+ years' experience in reconciliation, payments operations, finance, accounting, or a related analytical role (Ideally within fintech or banking)
- Must have excellent communication skills and experience in Australian fintech or banking industry.
- Must have Strong SQL, BI/reporting platforms (Looker, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience within payments, card schemes, settlements, or financial services is a must!
- Must be in either Sydney or Melbourne location
