Position Information

Epping Boys High School is a proudly comprehensive high school for boys with an enrolment of 1400. A Middle School and Senior School structure recognises and enhances the learning and wellbeing needs of all students and is complemented by the Boys to Men Program which engages boys in learning, promotes wellbeing and builds young men who are connected to their community. The School Improvement Plan values data driven practice and robust collaboration to further the vision for the school with intrinsic links between wellbeing and learning underpinning the educational purpose at Epping Boys High School. Specific Selection Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

- Demonstrated capacity to lead, mentor and inspire a high performing faculty of experienced and beginning teachers leading to improved student learning outcomes for a diverse range of learners including HPGE and EAL/D students.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the analysis of data to direct effective, evidenced based pedagogies, reinforcing high expectations and embedding targeted literacy strategies that lift outcomes across Social Science courses in Stages 4 and 5.
- Deep expertise and knowledge of Stage 6 Social Science subjects and evidence based HSC improvement pedagogy to drive continuous growth across all Stage 6 Social Science courses.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven capacity to collaborate with the senior executive to implement whole-school strategic initiatives aligned with the SEP to deliver measurable improvement in student learning outcomes.

General Selection Criteria

- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs




- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
