Your Role

Gensler Sydney is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our growing Data Centres practice. You will lead project teams and coordinate the design and delivery of complex projects from concept through construction.

Working closely with our Studio, Design and Project leadership, you will combine strong technical expertise, design thinking, and project leadership to deliver high-quality solutions for clients across Australia and the wider region. You will be comfortable leading teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and resolving complex design and technical challenges.

What You Will Do

- Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of Data Centre and other complex projects through all project phases.
- Manage project teams and coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and project communications.
- Develop a strong understanding of client requirements and ensure they are effectively translated into project delivery.
- Resolve complex design and technical issues throughout documentation and construction.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with project leadership.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Integrate sustainability and client ESG objectives into project delivery.
- Support business development, client relationships, and broader studio initiatives.

Your Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree preferred.
- Registered Architect in Australia, or eligible for registration.
- 10+ years of architectural experience, ideally including Data Centres or other large-scale, technically complex projects.
- Proven experience leading projects through design, documentation, and construction.
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, materials, and construction methodologies.




- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex stakeholder groups.
- Strong client management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness, including experience managing project programmes and budgets.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and experience delivering sustainability-focused projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, with experience in Rhino and BIM coordination workflows.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, BIM 360, Grasshopper, Dynamo, and real-time visualisation platforms is advantageous.
