Role Description The Business Banker is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, responsible for managing and growing relationships with small and medium-sized business clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing credit needs, structuring and recommending loans, and providing tailored treasury and cash management solutions aligned with client objectives. The role involves analysing financial statements and market conditions, preparing credit proposals, and supporting due diligence for secured lending backed by real estate assets.

The Business

Banker will collaborate closely with investment and risk teams to ensure sound underwriting standards and will contribute to business development initiatives, including networking, prospecting, and portfolio management.



This position requires regular on-site meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver timely, credible lending solutions.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in Business Relationship Management, particularly with small and medium-sized business clients.
- Strong background in Finance, with the ability to analyse financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
- Hands-on experience in structuring and managing Loans, preferably secured lending backed by real estate or other tangible assets.
- Knowledge of Treasury Management practices, including cash flow management and liquidity solutions for business clients.
- Familiarity with the needs and challenges of Small Business customers in banking or financial services environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; relevant skilled certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, credit analysis, and risk assessment tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Prior experience in real estate finance or debt investments across Australia or New Zealand is highly beneficial.
