Position Purpose The Account Manager will support the continued growth of ME Elecmetal’s Wear Parts business across Australia and Southeast Asia. This newly created position will be responsible for developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and delivering technical solutions that improve customer performance within the hard rock mining industry.

Nature and Scope

This is a technical sales and account management role focused on growing ME Elecmetal’s wear products business throughout the region. The Account Manager will work closely with mining customers across production, maintenance, procurement, and site management while partnering internally with ME Elecmetal’s engineering, applications, design, manufacturing, and commercial teams.

The role combines business development with technical problem-solving. The Account Manager will identify customer needs, develop opportunities, support product performance in the field, and coordinate internal resources to deliver solutions that improve wear life, productivity, and overall customer value.

Success in this position requires solid technical knowledge of mineral processing and grinding equipment, the ability to develop trusted customer relationships, and a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.

Principal Accountabilities

- Develop and grow existing and new customer accounts across the Australian and Southeast Asian hard rock mining markets.
- Identify new business opportunities aligned with ME Elecmetal’s growth strategy and manufacturing capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer production, maintenance, procurement, and site management teams.
- Provide technical and commercial support related to mill liners and other wear products.
- Identify and respond to customer concerns involving product performance, quality, delivery, productivity, and design.




- Prepare and coordinate requests for quotation (RFQs), proposals, technical information, and commercial responses.
- Work with ME Elecmetal’s 3D Applications Engineers and utilize FARO laser scanning technology to support customer applications, field measurements, and product development.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, finance, and international account management teams to ensure timely and effective responses to customer requirements.
- Develop sales and profitability forecasts to support regional business and market planning.
- Represent ME Elecmetal at relevant industry trade shows, technical conferences, seminars, and customer events.
- Attend customer shutdowns and relines to provide technical support and assist with condition monitoring and evaluation of ME Elecmetal products.
- Travel approximately 30–40% of the time, including domestic and international travel.

Qualifications:

Required

- Degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of relevant technical training and industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mineral processing industry, with experience involving mill liners, grinding equipment, or related wear products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong customer relationship, problem-solving, and business development skills.
- Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and commercial teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30–40%.

Preferred

- Previous technical sales, account management, or business development experience within the mining industry.
- Understanding of foundry manufacturing processes.
- Existing relationships with relevant mining industry customers in Australia and/or Southeast Asia.
- Experience supporting hard rock mining operations and customer sites.
