The role of a VPS Administrative Officer at the Maryborough Police Station is pivotal in supporting the Officer in Charge and Local Area Commander to provide a safer Victoria for the community. The Maryborough Police Station Administrative support and property office support to all stations within both the Central Goldfields LGA and Loddon LGA, these stations are inclusive, supportive and work closely with our partners in making a positive difference to our community.
The position of VPS2 Administrative/Property Officer reports directly to the VPS3 Administration officer and the Officer in Charge of the Maryborough Police Station. Duties will be performed at the Maryborough Police Station and the Wedderburn and Inglewood Police Stations on occasion.

Your duties will include:
- Processing of incoming and outgoing briefs of evidence and routine correspondence including quality control and processing of urgent and complex court documents.
- Issuing, updating, completing, and archiving of confidential records and accountable documents in a timely manner.
- Providing high level administrative support including banking, filing & general office duties as needed or directed.
- Providing advice on a range of Police administration matters.
- Provide general office support duties including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
- Undertaking a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of lost or seized property items in accordance with Victoria Police policy and relevant legislation.
- Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- The ability to work in a team environment
- To be highly organised, self motivated and able to prioritise work according to need.
- The ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records in a confidential environment.
- Strong and effective verbal communication skills are valued.
- An ability to utilise various IT databased systems.
- Requirement to attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
Further Information:
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is based at the Maryborough Police Station, 51 Clarendon Street, Maryborough.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
