About the role

Allied Health, Specialist Clinics and Social Support Manager

Permanent Full Time

Colac Area Health is a values-based organisation providing a unique integrated health service comprising of over 500 employees, providing Acute Care, Aged Care, Community and Allied Health Services.

The Allied Health, Specialist Clinics and Social Support Manager provides leadership in the provision, review and management of coordinated high quality clinical services for these programs. This includes the staff, defined resources, program objectives and professional practice standards of these services delivered across Acute, Urgent Care, Sub-Acute, Community Rehabilitation, Aged Care, outpatient and community-based settings. Management of systems, processes, activity and budget to ensure referral management and equitable access to high demand services will be required.

Develop and operationalise strategies to promote preventative health and wellbeing and chronic condition management approaches, to support safe,



effective and efficient services across Colac Area Health for the delivery of quality care to our community.

What’s required?

- Qualified Allied Health qualified and relevant AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership of professional body
- Management experience in the health and human services industry
- Demonstrated capacity to manage resources strategically and with probity
- Demonstrated ability to identify and build the capacity necessary to achieve organisational goals and respond to change
- Proven ability to deploy financial, physical and human resources to meet funded activity
- Demonstrated capacity to progress tasks, manage performance and continuously improve work practices to achieve results within time and budget constraints
- A consultative leadership style that promotes participation, involvement and a positive working environment
- Experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team delivering a diverse range of programs across multiple settings
- The ability to build rapport, negotiate and maintain effective relations with key stakeholders across CAH and external organisations and sectors
- Leading and promoting continuous service quality improvement activities and motivating staff to deliver services in contemporary and best practice frameworks
- Sound computer literacy and highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Current Victorian Driver’s licence, Working with Children Check and Police Check
