Adelita Wine Bar is an established boutique wine bar and dining destination located on the Wynnum Esplanade.
Since opening in 2022, Adelita has built a strong reputation for quality food, wine and genuine hospitality. Our seasonal share-style menu focuses on modern Australian cuisine with contemporary European influences, using quality produce and thoughtful technique.
We're a small, passionate team with high standards and big ambitions – and we're looking for an Apprentice Chef who wants to grow with us.
The Opportunity
Working closely with Head Chef Luke Pedan and our kitchen team, this is an opportunity to learn your craft in a hands-on environment where you'll be exposed to all aspects of a professional kitchen.
We're open to apprentices at any year level. What matters most to us is your attitude, work ethic and genuine passion for becoming a great chef.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across preparation, service, plating, produce, kitchen organisation and menu execution while learning from an experienced team that takes pride in what it puts on the plate.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your apprenticeship on the sidelines. We want someone who is eager to learn, get involved and continually improve.
About You
You don't need to know everything – that's what an apprenticeship is for.
But you do need to bring:
- A genuine passion for food and cooking
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- A positive attitude and ability to take direction
- Reliability and attention to detail
- The ability to stay organised and focused during service
- An interest in quality, seasonal produce
- A desire to develop your skills and build a career as a chef
- Availability to work across our Wednesday–Sunday roster
What You'll Get
You'll be joining a small kitchen where your development matters.
You'll work closely with our Head Chef, gain genuine hands-on experience and have the chance to take on more responsibility as your skills and confidence develop.
If you're ambitious about becoming a chef and want to learn in a venue where quality, creativity and consistency matter, we'd love to hear from you.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
