About the Opportunity

As an Assistant Travel Operations Leader, you will work alongside the Travel Operations Leader to drive team performance, maintain operational standards, and support continuous improvement across divisional processes, systems, and offshore operations.

You will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, supporting team development, and helping deliver strategic initiatives across the Global Supply division.

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced travel professional looking to further develop leadership capability while making a tangible impact on business performance and operational outcomes.

Based in the Brisbane head office, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Learning & Development, and offshore partners to support growth, innovation, and change.

What you will be doing:

- Support the Travel Operations Leader in driving the team's vision, strategy, and objectives across the division
- Act as the internal escalation point in the absence of the Travel Operations Leader
- Manage day-to-day task flow, workforce planning, and rostering activities
- Support the coaching, development, and ongoing success of team members
- Lead by example through professional conduct, collaboration, and performance
- Monitor and drive operational performance and key performance indicators
- Ensure best-practice workflows, processes, and standards are consistently maintained




- Support the management of business escalations, prioritisation activities, and crisis response requirements
- Maintain reporting and performance insights to support data-driven decision making
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with offshore partners
- Contribute to the design and deployment of process, system, and offshore operational efficiencies
- Support the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence and automation tools across operations
- Effectively communicate and deploy change initiatives throughout the team and wider stakeholder groups
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across brand operations and support functions
- Participate in projects, programs of work, and operational improvement initiatives

What you will need:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in the travel industry
- Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in business improvement management or a similar role
- Experience working with or managing offshore partners
- Experience in a leadership or informal leadership role
- Multi-Global Distribution System (GDS) knowledge
- Experience in project management or process design
- Experience working with automation tools, robotic process automation, or artificial intelligence applications
- Qualifications in leadership, project management, or business improvement are desirable
