The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) provides operational management in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NG7)School Based Youth Health.

About The Team The School Based Youth Health Nurse Service aims to promote positive health outcomes for young people and their families through the provision of a primary health care service centred around the principles of early intervention, assessment and harm minimisation and prevention.

About The Role

Your contribution will include

Domain 1: Direct comprehensive care or provision of direct care

- Accountable for Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and own standards, actions and the outcomes of nursing practice, professional advice given and for activities as delegated.
- Responsible for providing safe, compassionate care, integrating the nursing Professional Practice Model, quality frameworks and Planetree philosophy of caring for each patient's psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs. This supports achievement of best clinical practice and individualised patient care and outcomes.

Domain 2: Support of Systems

- Adhere to, develop and evaluate guidelines, protocols, procedures, standards and systems of work as set by the organisation and governing bodies in collaboration with the NG7.
- Utilise and apply the principles of contemporary human, material and financial resource management for the multidisciplinary setting in consultation with a NG7.

Domain 3: Education

- Participate in developing a culture of learning resulting in a capable and educated team.
- Participate in the ongoing professional development of self and others in orientation and induction of new staff.

Domain 4: Research

- Utilise contemporary information, research evidence, personal knowledge and experience to translate contemporary evidence into safe, compassionate practice.




- Assist the NG7 with the undertakings of quality initiatives and clinical audits in School Based Youth Health to improve practice and care.

Domain 5: Professional Leadership

- Provide policy advice on issues relating to professional and clinical practice.
- Promote professionalism and a positive practice environment by demonstrating integrity, transparency, visibility and accountability.
