This is a hands-on workshop role suited to someone who is confident working with heavy vehicles, understands how to make strong, practical repairs and takes pride in the quality of their work.
Key responsibilities
- Fabrication, welding and repairs to trucks and trailers
- Repairs and modifications to truck bodies, trays, guards, brackets and associated components
- Structural fabrication and general workshop welding
- Repair and fabrication work on heavy plant and earthmoving equipment as required
- MIG welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication
- Diagnosing damaged components and working out practical repair solutions
- Measuring, fitting and fabricating components accurately
- Working closely with our workshop and operations teams
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
- Taking ownership of the quality of your work
About you
- Has strong welding and fabrication skills
- Has experience working on trucks, trailers or heavy equipment
- Is confident carrying out repairs and modifications
- Can work independently and problem-solve
- Produces strong, practical work suitable for heavy-duty use
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable and works well as part of a team
- Has a robust focus on safety
- Experience in civil, earthmoving, quarry, transport or heavy equipment would be highly regarded
