The Opportunity
We are looking for a Business Development & Marketing Manager who enjoys working with people and being part of a geographically dispersed team. Someone who is entrepreneurial, proactive and commercially minded, to enhance business development and marketing activity across the SEAPAC region.
Based in Sydney, this role will work closely with the CEO of Wrays, the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager, delivery teams and business services colleagues to support client development, pitches and proposals, profile-raising initiatives, CRM management, reporting and marketing activity.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, client focused and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will play a central role in coordinating business development and marketing activity, research and analysis, contributing to and maintaining a knowledge database, producing reports and content, and helping ensure delivery of regional initiatives.
You will be comfortable working with digital platforms and be able to use a CRM, AI-enabled tools and market intelligence sources to help improve the efficiency,
quality and consistency of business development and marketing support across the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business development operations and reporting
· maintain accurate client, contact and opportunity data in CRM systems
· produce regular reports, dashboards and updates to support business development activity
· track actions, deadlines and follow-up items arising from pitches, campaigns and business development initiatives
· support pipeline reporting and ensure information is current and accurate
· assist with research and information gathering to support business development decisions
Pitches, proposals and client development
· co-ordinate pitches, proposals, tenders, capability statements and other business development opportunities
· gather and maintain credentials, biographies, matter examples and precedent content
· prepare first drafts of proposal content and supporting materials using approved templates and messaging
· co-ordinate input from fee earners and stakeholders and monitor progress against deadlines
· support client targeting and account development initiatives through research, briefing materials and administrative support
Marketing, communications and profile raising
· develop, update and maintain marketing collateral, presentations and client-facing materials
· support thought leadership, client alerts, rankings, awards and other profile-raising initiatives
· identify opportunities to reuse and repurpose content across business development and marketing activity
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
· at least three years’ experience in business development, marketing, communications or a similar role in a law firm, professional services, consulting or B2B environment
· experience supporting business development initiatives, client development activities, pitches, proposals and marketing projects
· excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce explicit, accurate and professional business communications
· strong organisational and project co-ordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· experience conducting research, compiling information and preparing reports, briefing materials and presentation content
· experience maintaining CRM systems, databases or business development information and producing reports or dashboards
· strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
· familiarity with AI-enabled tools and business intelligence platforms would be an advantage
· strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
· experience working across multiple teams, offices or regions is highly desirable
