About INTEC's Civils Division

INTEC Energy Solutions has established a dedicated Civils Division to deliver high-quality, large-scale civil infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Backed by INTEC's global renewable energy expertise, our team is building capability across site preparation, bulk earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations and high-voltage substation civil works.

As the Civils Division continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our Brisbane team and play a key role in building the commercial and estimating capability that will support our future pipeline.

This is an opportunity to join the division at an exciting stage of its development and have genuine influence over tender strategy, pricing, estimating processes and the pursuit of new work.

Working closely with the Deputy Managing Director and our commercial, engineering, procurement and construction teams, you will prepare competitive and commercially robust tenders across major civil infrastructure projects, while helping establish the systems and processes that will support the division as it grows.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional estimating role. You will have the opportunity to help shape the estimating function of a growing civil construction business, contribute directly to winning new work and see your estimates progress from tender through to project delivery.

You'll work across projects associated with utility-scale solar, BESS, substations and other major infrastructure, providing the commercial insight and pricing expertise needed to support successful project pursuits.

What You'll Do

- Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders and detailed cost estimates across bulk earthworks, drainage, FRP concrete,



roads and associated civil infrastructure.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation to develop detailed BOQs, pricing, methodologies, assumptions and exclusions.
- Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal engineering, procurement and construction teams to develop robust and competitive pricing.
- Provide commercial and strategic input into bid/no-bid decisions, tender strategy, risk assessment and project pursuits.
- Build and continuously improve INTEC's estimating systems, processes, databases and tools as the Civils Division grows.
- Support pre-tender site visits, client meetings, tender reviews and handover of successful projects to the delivery team.
- Analyse market conditions, competitor activity and project opportunities to support the Civils Division's growth strategy.

About You You are an experienced civil estimator who combines strong technical estimating capability with commercial judgement and wants the opportunity to help build something rather than simply operate within an established estimating function.

You'll Bring

- 5+ years' civil estimating experience, ideally across major civil infrastructure or renewable energy projects, supported by recent hands-on site experience as a Project Engineer, Site Supervisor, Superintendent or similar.
- Strong practical understanding of how projects are built, including bulk earthworks, drainage, FRP concrete, roadworks, sequencing,



methodology, productivity and site constraints.
- Proven ability to develop accurate BOQs, cost estimates and competitive tenders, while identifying commercial risks, assumptions, exclusions and opportunities.
- Strong commercial and technical judgement, with experience developing pricing strategies, engaging subcontractors and suppliers, and contributing to successful tender outcomes.
- Proficient in estimating software such as Expert Estimation, Candy or similar, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, construction, procurement and commercial teams.
