Civil Supervisor | Townsville, QLD

Nova Talent is partnering with a well-established civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the Townsville region.

This is a permanent, long-term opportunity for an experienced Civil Supervisor who can lead site teams, coordinate works and maintain strong safety, quality and project delivery standards.

The Role

- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities and site crews
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Plan and schedule works to meet project programs and deadlines
- Interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications
- Complete and oversee JSEA/WMS, risk assessments and site documentation
- Maintain strong HSEQ, environmental and quality standards
- Monitor work progress, resources and productivity
- Assist the Project Manager with progress claims, project costs, revenue and variations
- Ensure permits, traffic management plans,



authorisations and clearances are in place before works commence
- Liaise with clients, service providers and project management
- Complete daily diaries, timesheets, incident reports and project documentation

The position is the frontline management representative on site and carries responsibility across construction delivery, team leadership, HSEQ, quality and financial performance.

What we're looking for

- Robust experience supervising civil/infrastructure construction projects
- Proven ability to lead and motivate site teams
- Solid understanding of HSEQ and site compliance requirements
- Ability to interpret plans, drawings and construction specifications
- Solid planning, scheduling and resource-management capability
- Experience managing plant, labour and materials
- Exposure to project costs, budgets, progress claims and variations
- Strong communication, problem-solving and client-facing skills

The role also requires coordinating resources, monitoring project programs and budgets, and supporting the Project Manager across project delivery.
