Salary Range: LGO8 ($124,100 - $140,195 per annum + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

Location: Townsville

About The Role

As Team Coordinator Business Systems, you will lead a team of IT professionals responsible for the delivery, support and continuous improvement of Council’s business systems. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will oversee a mix of strategic projects and business-as-usual activities, ensuring systems are reliable, fit for purpose and aligned with current and future business needs.

This is a leadership role that combines people management, project delivery and technical oversight. You will coordinate priorities, manage resources, guide solution design and change initiatives, and work with internal customers and external vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget. Your ability to build strong partnerships, influence stakeholders and foster a customer-focused culture will be key to your success.

Reporting to the Team Manager Enterprise Solutions and Systems, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, continuous improvement and service excellence across Council's technology landscape. You'll provide strategic advice, manage risks and performance, and support the ongoing growth and capability of your team while helping shape the future of Council's business systems.

About You

- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, Project Management, or equivalent experience.

- Significant experience leading business systems teams, including in a senior leadership capacity.

- Strong knowledge of business systems, system integration, administration, support, and continuous improvement.

- Experience with TechnologyOne solutions across on-premises and SaaS environments (desirable).





- Proven delivery of complex technology projects using Agile and hybrid methodologies.

- Demonstrated leadership in people management, service delivery, budgeting, and vendor management.

- Ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions and provide strategic advice.

- Experience driving system and process improvements that deliver business value.

- Understanding of software development, change management, and IT service management (ITIL desirable).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Customer-focused with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build organisational capability.
