An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and motivated qualified to join Legal Aid Queensland as Coordinator Duty Lawyer and Partnerships. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to make a real difference in the justice system. You will lead the coordination and procurement of Legal Aid Queensland’s Partner Law Firm and Duty Lawyer Programs, helping ensure vulnerable and disadvantaged Queenslanders can access high-quality, cost-effective legal services across the state.

About The Role In this dynamic role, you will lead the procurement and partnership activities that underpin the delivery of legal aid services through external legal providers, helping to build a strong, ethical and high-performing network across Queensland. You will drive end-to-end procurement for Partner Law Firms and Duty Lawyers, from planning and market research through to tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation and supplier performance management, while also overseeing provider panels, onboarding, accreditation, rostering and performance reviews. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will provide trusted procurement advice,



identify new service providers, strengthen Legal Aid Queensland's Partner Law Firm network, and ensure all services are managed in line with policy, legislation and organisational objectives.

The role also offers the opportunity to improve systems and processes, manage procurement risk, maintain high-quality records and reporting, and foster strong, professional relationships with agencies, legal panels and suppliers.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in complex public sector procurement, ideally in legal assistance, justice, government-funded services or the broader social services sector.

You Will Ideally Bring

- demonstrated experience managing procurement projects and tender processes
- strong knowledge of procurement risk, compliance, policy and contract management
- sound analytical and negotiation skills
- the ability to prepare high-quality briefs and technical procurement documentation
- clear, concise and professional communication skills
- a collaborative approach and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships
- a commitment to ethical practice, good governance and continuous improvement.
