StratMonk is seeking an experienced Electrical Cost Estimator to join the tender team for a major data centre project in Sydney.

This is a specialist pre-contract role for an estimator who is confident building electrical estimates from first principles and has strong hands-on experience with CATS.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in developing a robust, competitive and commercially sound tender price, working closely with engineering, procurement and the wider tender team.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing first-principles electrical cost estimates
- Building detailed labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, scope and construction methodology
- Establishing quantities, productivity assumptions and rates
- Using CATS for estimating and cost build-up
- Reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identifying scope gaps, risks, exclusions and opportunities
- Supporting value engineering and resolving tender queries

About You

You will be an experienced electrical estimator who can build an estimate from the ground up, with:

- Strong electrical estimating experience on major construction projects
- Proven first-principles estimating capability
- Hands-on CATS experience
- Strong understanding of electrical construction, productivity,



materials and installation costs
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- A practical, commercial approach and the ability to work to tight tender deadlines
