About the Role The Director Procurement Delivery is a senior executive leadership position responsible for leading HSV's procurement delivery function across Equipment, Medical Consumables, Pharmaceuticals, ICT and Indirect Categories.
Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies that maximise commercial value, strengthen supply security, improve patient outcomes and support the Victorian public health sector.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead commercial, financial and operational benefits across HSV's procurement portfolios.
- Develop and execute strategic category and sourcing strategies aligned with health-sector priorities.
- Lead complex and high-value commercial negotiations.
- Build strategic supplier partnerships that drive value, innovation, resilience and supply continuity.
- Develop strong relationships with health services, clinicians, government and industry.
- Identify and realise enterprise-wide value creation opportunities through commercial analysis and benefits tracking.
- Drive procurement performance, reporting and continuous improvement.
- Ensure procurement governance, risk management and supply assurance requirements are met.
- Lead teams through significant change and build procurement capability.
- Contribute to cross-organisational initiatives and Department of Health priorities to achieve whole-of-system outcomes.
About You You are an accomplished executive procurement leader with significant experience managing procurement portfolios and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
You will bring
- Significant executive-level procurement experience with operational accountability for a portfolio, division or organisation.
- Demonstrated experience delivering commercial outcomes through procurement, category management, negotiations, supply chain optimisation and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies across direct and indirect categories.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, quantify and realise enterprise-wide value creation opportunities.
- Experience leading teams through significant organisational change.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, supported by a highly analytical approach.
- Superior negotiation, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within governance and risk management frameworks.
- A robust understanding of supplier economics, market dynamics, value-chain optimisation and enterprise value creation.
- Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualifications, preferably in business, procurement or supply chain.
