Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Disk Jockey role based on the Central Coast, NSW, with some work-from-home tasks such as playlist preparation, client communication, and administrative duties. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and performing DJ sets for weddings, parties, and corporate events, selecting and mixing music suited to each audience, and managing event timelines in coordination with clients and venues.

The Disk

Jockey will set up, operate, and pack down sound and DJ equipment, perform basic troubleshooting during events, and ensure high-quality audio throughout. The role includes serving as an emcee when required,



making professional announcements, and guiding guests through key moments (e.g., introductions, speeches, and special dances).

Jockey is expected to maintain a professional appearance, adhere to company standards, and provide a positive, engaging presence at every event.

Qualifications

- Strong DJing skills with the ability to mix across multiple genres and adapt sets to audience response.
- Solid knowledge of Music, including current hits, classics, and event-appropriate playlists.
- Experience as an Emcee, with confident public speaking and clear, skilled microphone etiquette.
- Background as a Wedding DJ or in similar special-event environments, understanding typical event flows and key moments.
- Competence with Sound equipment, including speakers, mixers, controllers, microphones, and basic audio troubleshooting.
- Reliable transportation and availability for evenings, weekends, and peak event seasons on a contract basis.
- Strong interpersonal skills, punctuality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, venues, and other vendors.
- Familiarity with DJ software and digital music libraries; experience with lighting or AV is an advantage.
- Prior experience in live entertainment or events is preferred; formal training or certification in audio or music production is a plus.
