Rhubarb Jam Productions offers school holiday performance workshops that focus on the creative process of developing a production. Participants collaborate to explore performance, storytelling, and ensemble work in a supportive workplace. Throughout each workshop, the emphasis is on learning, experimentation, and building confidence on stage.

At the end of the workshop period, participants present the production they have created. This approach provides both a structured performance outcome and a rich educational experience for emerging performers.

Role Description The Drama Workshop Facilitator is a contract, on-site role based in Marrickville, NSW. The facilitator will design and deliver engaging drama workshops that guide participants through the full creative process, from initial concept to final performance. Day-to-day tasks include planning session activities, leading warm-ups and improvisation exercises, directing scenes, and managing rehearsal schedules.

The role also involves providing constructive feedback, encouraging collaboration,



and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for participants of diverse backgrounds and experience levels. The facilitator will coordinate with the production team on logistics and support participants in preparing for the end-of-workshop performance.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to give clear instructions and supportive feedback.
- Demonstrated experience in Workshops and Facilitation, particularly in drama, theatre, or performing arts settings.
- Background in Training, coaching, or teaching, with the ability to guide groups of different ages and skill levels.
- Well-developed Creativity Skills, including improvisation, storytelling, and devising original performance material.
- Prior experience in theatre or drama education, community arts, or youth programs is highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage group dynamics, maintain a safe rehearsal space, and adapt workshop plans as needed.
- Relevant qualification in drama, theatre, education, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
