Role Description The Editor in Chief is a full-time leadership role responsible for overseeing all editorial content and ensuring it aligns with Servepoint Australia’s brand, objectives, and regulatory environment. This is an on-site role based in Sydney, NSW. Day-to-day, the Editor in Chief will plan and manage the editorial calendar, assign and review articles, guides, and marketing copy, and ensure accuracy and clarity in content related to business registrations and startup processes.
The role includes supervising writers and editors, establishing style guidelines, collaborating with marketing and product teams, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Editor in Chief will also analyze content performance,
refine editorial strategy based on data and feedback, and continuously improve Servepoint’s resources for new business owners.
Qualifications
- Strong editorial leadership skills, including experience as a senior editor or Editor in Chief in a digital or print environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in content planning, editorial strategy, and managing an editorial calendar.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Experience creating content for business, finance, or regulatory topics; familiarity with Australian business registration processes is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor content teams, provide constructive feedback, and uphold editorial standards.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with marketing, product, and operations teams.
- Ability to interpret analytics and user feedback to guide content improvements and drive audience growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfort working in office in Sydney, NSW, and engaging with stakeholders and partners as needed.
